September 9th, 2001 is the 25th anniversary of the death of Mao Zedong. Fittingly, MIM sends its congratulations to the Russian Maoist Party for the anniversary marking its first year of existence.
In October of 1976, the bourgeoisie in the party restored capitalism in China by staging a coup d’état against the “Gang of Four.” Since that time, there has been no socialist country in the world, and all governments claiming to be communist-led have denied Mao’s thesis on the bourgeoisie in the party and how it would attempt to restore capitalism in a socialist country.
Now it is evident that Mao’s thesis concerning a bourgeoisie in the communist party in power and the need for cultural revolution to prevent the restoration of capitalism was correct. For this reason, it is especially significant that the Russian Maoist Party arose in the land of the October Revolution.
In its brief existence, the Russian Maoist Party has faced attack by the enemy, which is a good thing. No matter how renegades twist Marxism-Leninism and now Marxism-Leninism-Maoism, they will not succeed. The truth cannot be eradicated and the existence of the Russian Maoist Party is one example of concrete proof.
